SEBoK Together
What is SEBoK Together?
SEBoK Together is a community-driven effort to review, strengthen, and evolve the Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge (SEBoK).
The SEBoK has always been shaped by its community. It remains relevant not simply because it is published, but because practitioners, educators, researchers, and students actively engage with it by reviewing content, sharing insight, and helping it evolve alongside the discipline.
SEBoK Together makes that shared stewardship more visible and more intentional by creating a clear, supported way for the community to participate in ongoing review and improvement.

Why SEBoK Together?
Systems engineering continues to evolve in response to new technologies, new domains, and new ways of working. A living body of knowledge must evolve as well.
SEBoK Together exists to:
- Support the continued relevance and quality of SEBoK content
- Encourage broad community participation in review and improvement
- Strengthen shared understanding across practice, education, and research
How SEBoK Together Works
SEBoK Together operates on a regular, intentional review cadence.
Each review cycle focuses on a small set of articles and emphasizes thoughtful, constructive feedback. Reviews may address clarity, accuracy, relevance, structure, or alignment with current practice.
The Editorial Board conducts formal reviews each cycle, supported by input from the broader systems engineering community. Community feedback helps inform improvements and strengthens editorial decision-making.
Participation is designed to be approachable and flexible. You do not need to be an expert in every topic, and you do not need to commit large amounts of time. Insight grounded in experience is what matters most.
How Can I Participate?
You may choose to participate by:
- Reading selected SEBoK articles
- Providing feedback or suggestions
- Sharing practitioner, educator, or researcher perspectives
- Helping identify areas where content could be clearer or more current
Each review cycle includes guidance on what kind of feedback is most helpful. Participation can be occasional or ongoing, depending on your availability and interest.
