The article is generally appropriate as an introduction (or definition) of the subject matter, but lacks reference to the BoK and to multiple perspectives (e.g. adaptive maintenance, system evolution).  This is also reflected in the Citations and References, both with a single entry.  There is no mention of the various lifecycle models within system development (waterfall, spiral, etc.).
 
 
Look at the "Applying the Systems Approach" article in part 2, and consider making an explicit link to the lifecyce principles defined in it.
